• Q:  How do I register my child for school?

    A:  The Wallingford-Swarthmore School District utilizes a central registration.  Children can be registered online BY CLICKING HERE.  If you do not have access to a computer, you can make an appointment to complete the registration at the Registration Office which is located at:

    Q:  How do I learn more about the documents needed to register my child?

    Q:  When will I know the school bus details for my child?

    A:  For students eligible to receive school bus service (those who do not live within a walk zone), bus details will be provided to you from the Transportation Department after the registration process has been completed.  Questions regarding transportation should be directed to our Transportation Department at 610-892-3470, extension 1701 or 1702. 

    Q:  What are the immunization requirements for the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District?

    Q:  What is the required age for entrance to Kindergarten?

    A:  Kindergarten students must be 5 years of age on or before September 1st of the year starting.  There are NO EXCEPTIONS.

    Q:  Does the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District offer a full-day or half-day kindergarten program?

    A:  The Wallingford-Swarthmore School District kindergarten program is a half-day program.  Each student is assigned to either a morning or afternoon session.  The times for each session are listed below:

              Morning Session 8:45 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
              Afternoon Session 12:45 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

    Q:  I already have older children attending the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District.  Do I still need to provide the registration information and proof of residency?

    A:  Yes. For every new student registered to attend a school in the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District, a parent/guardian must complete the registration process and provide all required proofs and documents.

    Q:  I'm moving into the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District during the summer. Can I still register my child to begin in September?

    A:  Yes. Once you establish residency in the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District, you can register your child via the District’s online central registration system BY CLICKING HERE.  Please do not begin the registration process until you have established residency.  Please contact Derrick L.     Q:  What is the deadline to register? Will you have a spot for my child if I register right before the start of school?

    A:  The Wallingford-Swarthmore School District is a public school with no registration deadline.  We will enroll all children who reside within the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District boundaries and meet the registration requirements.

    Though these zones are a general guide, students can be diverted to other elementary school locations within the District if capacity sizes are reached at their zone location.

    Q: If my student is diverted to another elementary school, will they have to enroll in a new school district?

    A: No. Students who must be diverted to an alternate elementary school will attend a school within the District. Transportation will be provided.
