The Board of School Directors are pleased to announce Dr. Sharon Baddick will be filling this position.
Dr. Baddick brings over 20 years of extensive experience and a wealth of knowledge to advance the initiatives of the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District. She began her career in special education and has since held roles such as Assistant Principal, Principal, Program Coordinator, Chief of Special Education and Support Services, and Assistant Superintendent.
Dr. Baddick's vast expertise and abilities will be crucial as we gear up for the 2024-2025 school year. She is committed to maintaining our tradition of excellence and furthering the WSSD mission of delivering top-notch education to every student. Her teamwork-oriented mindset and talent for fostering strong connections with educators, parents, and community members will surely enhance the continued success of our district.
Throughout her career, Dr. Baddick has demonstrated exceptional skills in fostering collaborative environments, driving educational excellence, and building strong relationships with staff, parents, and community members. She is dedicated to upholding our district’s mission of providing high-quality education to every student and is committed to supporting our culture of continuous improvement.
In her role as Assistant Superintendent, Dr. Baddick will be instrumental in leading our district forward with our Strategic Plan efforts. Her expertise in curriculum development and instructional leadership will be key as we implement innovative teaching practices and enhance our educational programs. She will work closely with our staff to ensure that our strategic initiatives are effectively carried out, benefiting both students and educators.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Delaware County Intermediate Unit (DCIU) for their invaluable partnership in conducting the search for our Assistant Superintendent vacancy. We are grateful for the dedicated efforts of Dr. Maria Edelberg, Executive Director, and Mr. Frank Salerno, Director of Human Resources. The DCIU team assisted us in identifying a candidate who will champion the implementation of our Strategic Plan, ensuring it remains deeply rooted in our shared mission and vision while connecting to every part of the daily operations of the District.
