Crozer Keystone Health System
The Healthplex Sports Medicine team is proud to be providing care for both Strath Haven High School and Middle School. Our team physician, Dr. David Baxter, as well as Dr. David Webner and Dr. Kevin DuPrey will be available to SHHS and SHMS athletes on an as-needed basis.
Dr. David Baxter is a board-certified sports medicine physician at the Healthplex Sports Medicine Institute. He serves as a physician for both Strath Haven HS and Strath Haven MS, conducting weekly training room visits for injured athletes with the school athletic training staff. His practice interests include concussion management, acute sports injuries, arthritis management, and musculoskeletal ultrasound. Dr. Baxter is a team physician for the Philadelphia Union and participates in medical coverage for local mass participation endurance events.
Dr. David Webner is a board-certified sports medicine physician at the Healthplex Sports Medicine Institute and the Fellowship Director of the Crozer-Keystone Health System sports medicine fellowship in Delaware County, PA. His main research interests include endurance sports medicine and concussion in sport. Dr. Webner’s sports medicine practice includes recreational, amateur and professional athletes of all ages with musculoskeletal injuries and sports concussions. He is currently the team physician for Widener University and the Philadelphia Union.
Kevin DuPrey, DO, is a board certified sports medicine physician. He serves as a team physician for the Philadelphia Union. He is the Assistant Director for the Crozer-Keystone Sports Medicine Fellowship program. Dr. DuPrey has been published in several medical journals for his work regarding concussions, safety in endurance events, and ACL injury prevention.
Andrew Bucko, LAT, ATC, the athletic trainer for SHHS and SHMS, is onsite during all home games as well as away football games(high school only) and practices to provide the student athletes with comprehensive care. Some of the services provided are emergency care of sports injuries, injury evaluation, bracing/taping, rehabilitation of sports injuries as well as concussion management(including preseason baseline ImPACT testing). The athletic trainers will be the point person for you and your athlete and work very closely with the physicians of the Healthplex Sports Medicine team to ensure that each athlete receives the highest quality of care possible. They will be in direct contact with you regarding the care of your athletes if an injury should arise.
