Panther Pride is Strath Haven Middle School's version of PBIS - Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports. PBIS is a nationally recognized framework, developed by researchers from the University of Oregon, that aims to support students, staff, and schools in creating a systemwide framework of clear behavioral expectations and programming that supports the recognition of positive behaviors. These facets of the PBIS framework, combined with explicit instruction on the expectations matrix, the collection of behavioral data for analysis, and the intentional use of our Panther Pride mantra, help create and build a positive school culture and atmosphere.
The four tenets of Panther Pride are:
Stay Safe - Stay Responsible - Stay Respectful - Stay Kind
