• Welcome to Little Panthers Preschool!

      • The Strath Haven Preschool Laboratory offers a unique opportunity for high school students enrolled in the Childhood Program to deepen their understanding of young children's growth and development. In this engaging environment, high school students create a joyful and supportive learning experience for preschoolers aged 3 to 5, while also developing valuable skills in working with young learners.
Our preschool is led by teams of high school students, from sophomores to seniors, who work together to design and implement developmentally appropriate learning activities for the children. Under the guidance of a classroom instructor and teacher's aides, these students observe the children to better understand child development, gaining practical experience in managing behavior, recognizing developmental milestones, and practicing cooperation and leadership through teamwork.

We typically begin accepting applications in early December, with enrollment closing in February for the following school year. The program is available for children aged 3 to 5 who reside in the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District. High school students work with the preschool children three days a week, and the program usually runs for 14 weeks, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Little Panthers Preschool is now accepting applications for the 2025-2026 school year! Download the application here.
